I did the engine swap a year ago so this post is to the best of my memory.
If you need any more images Please ask and I will post. If you have a good B30A motor it might be more practical to change just the B30A head with Reconditioned B30E head and manifold instead of complete motor. The Djetronic ECU and Air pressure sensor can be used from a donor 164E car or parts bought from Ebay. I have another spare Low Km B30A engine Enjoy!!!

Hello Johnny,
Its now a while ago since you posted this threat. What can you tell about the fuel consumption of the B30e engine. Is it better? I am very curious. I am thinking about engine swap too. Kind regards, Rogé

Hello Roge,
I have not done a fuel comparison of the B30E to B30A fuel consumption as my original B30A motor was prematurely worn when I got the truck so I swapped the to the B30E motor then before I could check fuel consumption. I believe the normal fuel consumption of B30A is 20 Litres per 100Km at highway speed of 60-80 Kmphr. I should be able to take the Truck out in the next few weeks for a 200Km trip and do a fuel usage check-so I will be better position to give you an answer. However What I have noticed with the B30E is a lot more pickup and power which could be utilised with a higher gear ratio as I am forever looking for 5th gear when the motor is revving at 4000rpm. I have been afraid to rev the motor more that 4000 rpm without a full load on it (just me). From my experience so far I think the conversion to B30E is worth it. Roge if your motor is still in good condition you may consider just changing the head to B30E which I have done to my spare B30A motor as well but instead of using original D-jetronic injection ECU replace the controller with a modern one to do sequential injection program which should give you better fuel economy. It also gets rid of old D-jetronic Mechanical Manifold pressure sensor affectionately known as the "hand grenade" cheers Johnny

Hello Johhny,
Thank you for responding so fast. My engine is in good condition only the fine tuning of the carburators is difficult. When engine is warm often the idle speed is to high. But the resent why i am thinking of changing the engine is because i can get a engine that has been overhault (only 30000km after) for about 600 euro's so it could be an interesting deal. I can sell mine engine so it could be worth the effort. I am very interested what you do to that engine, modiffication en so. So please post your info here. Are you also a member of the dutch facebookpage https://www.facebook.com/groups/174390316032333/ ? Thank you very much!! Kind regards Rogé

Glad to help Oleg. I have responded privately to your email. DER HARMS is also building a B30E engine for his C303 so he may wish to share his experience .
