Hmm....on the rear vehicle, I understand the snorkle air intake on the roof, starting on the driver's side....but what is that other device/contraption, running diagonal?

Some guesses, in order of imagination:

- Roots blower, electrical powered; electric motor on front/right, blower on rear/left, drive shaft inbetween.

- Snorkle expansion, for deeper submergings; front/right buoyant/floating entry point, hinged on rear/left, tube inbetween.
