I'm sorry for not writing in German, but you would not be able to understand what I wrote... I have a Volvo C202 hard-top for sale. The car is in Denmark, and with Danish papers. The original engine has been replaced with a VW/Volvo 2.4 diesel, the one found in VW LT31's and Volvo 240 series diesel. The truck has MOT'ed in DK with this engine, and drove around for years with it. It has been rebuild years ago, new rings etc. and have not even been run-in yet. It sits on BFGoodrich Baja MT's, 35x12.5R15 The frame has been repaired by a proffesional welder, and is all but rust-free. The body have had the whole rear floor renewed, incl. the lower 25cm all around. Original winch, Mercedes sun-roof, nav-lights front and back, lexan Windows in the back. But the doors and upper body is not too pretty. The wiring needs to be redone in some Places, but a brand new wiring harness incl. fuse box etc. can be included at the right Price This was a project a friend started, but gave up on, and left it to me to sell for him, all in all he has invested more than €12.000 in this, but are willing to part with it for the best offer above €4.000 Pictures can be mailed. As you can clearly see, the C202 is not dressed up for sale Here's a few of the frame etc. The rusty part is the exhaust. The frame itself has been thoroughly repaired and sealed, and the idea was to fill oil in to it, so it would slush around and prevent internal corrosion Here's a photo of the worst rust remaining, the doors: But behind is the new floor: The tyres that come with it: I hope this may spark some interest! | ||||

What is the top speed with the VW Diesel?

Hard to say, but about 90-100 constantly, maybe more at full throttle. The previous owner never drove it above 90 because he didn't want to rev the engine. The 2.4D is however different from other diesels made back then, it is made for revving (compared to other diesels), and redlines at 5.200, my Toyota is not supposed to go higher than 3.000...

Isn´t the paint job made like L3314/5? What was the original colour of this C202?
In Germany we use Owatrol Oil or FluidFilm (kind of sheep oil/fat) or others, which oil was used to prevent this C202 frame against rust now? | ||||

The paint job is actually according to the Danish Army regulations, eventhough the Danish Army never owned a single one...
The frame has not been protected internally yet, the vehicle was never completed and has not seen a single km since the frame was repaired, the floors renewed and the engine overhauled. Btw. I have a Mercedes MB100 steering box for it, it looks like a simple job to make it fit. | ||||

Now only I notice, that it has a wider side door (at the lower part of it) with wider entrance - good and useful development!
I hate the originally-built "chicken-entrance-doors"! | ||||

True Wilfired, that's because the rear hardtop and doors where made here in Denmark in 1981. This C202 is one of two bought by the Danish "Geodætisk Institut" from new.

wäre wieder mal was interessantes zum Basteln Hat im Forum jemand ein Gutachten über die 35" Bereifung??? Ohne diesem sehe ich keine Chancen den Volvo anzumelden... Ich weiß, dass die Seriendimension 280... ähnlich groß ist aber das reicht dem TÜV leider nicht... Gruß Jimmy | ||||

Aber klar doch gibt es das, genauer gesagt noch besser als ein Gutachen: Der Hersteller Volvo "höchstpersönlich" hat die 35x12,5x15er Bereifung für C202 freigegeben. Müsste mittlerweile jeder C202-Eigner haben, das Blatt, so oft wie ich das schon ver-mail-t habe... | ||||

Erstens gibt´s 9.00R16 noch ziemlich oft, z. B. nur ca. 35 km von dir weg 12 St.... (kleines Rätsel) ;-) Zweitens: Ist überhaupt irgendeine Datei bei dir angekommen über file2send? Hatte dir das ja in 2-facher Ausführung geschickt, 1x pdf und 1x jpeg). ;-) | ||||

Can you please give us more information such as cunstruction year and kilometers that has been driven with it. How does it drive, brake and shift? Is it possible to make a pick up?
