(Damals php4 und mysql4)

ok, die Umlaute kommen wie gewünscht rein und raus
Das gilt auch für Editieren oder Zitieren
(aktuell 2023 mit php8 und mysql5.7)

Entsprechend auch korrekt mit einem alten Beitrag aus 2013
(damals php5 und mysql5)

ABER: php.ini aktuell - default charset UTF8
Wie das früher war weiß ich nicht mehr

Kontrolle in der DB mit php-myadmin:
Charset steht hier auf UTF8, trotzdem kommen die Umlaute in den Beiträgen von 2005 korrekt raus

I checked it and it worked for me:

- open google translate
- change to "websites" in the top buton line
- change to "Deutsch" on the left hand side language setting
- change to "English" on the right hand side language setting
- insert url https://www.c303.de/c303-forum/index.php?board=15;action=display;threadid=14939&start=0
- click on arrow to open in new tab and see translated page

... and it seems to be a very good translation:
