I've been reading through the numerous cooling discussions here and a couple of posts caught my eye:

I don't plan to fit an electric fan, but I still think there's merit to use an electric pump to circulate water through the radiator after the ignition has been switched off. I have a few questions for those of you that have already fitted such pumps (not just Raffi and Christian ):

• How to you trigger the pump - manually or automatically?
  
• How do you control the pump - temperature or time?
  
• How long does it need to run (worst case)?

and I have a further question for those of you with electric fans

• Have you considered completely replacing the mechanical water pump with an electric one?

Elektrik water pump in my Volvo is only running at ignition off. The pump is aditional to the mechanic pump. It is triggered by a timerelais for 10 min
