Hello everyone. First off, here is my TGB
https://www.instagram.com/bryggerihund/ Now onto my issue/issues. At first my issue started with me only having high beams. This is how my switches are working. Blue switch = 1 click (parking lamps are on) Blue switch = 2 click (headlamps are on / highbeams) Green switch (aut) = Parking lamps on when running no headlights My turn signal switch is damaged and doesn't stay mounted to the column. Also I get no distinguishable click when pulling up on the switch so perhaps my switch is broken and I am stuck on high beams? Also this morning I started popping fuse #5 for the instrumentation illumination. It pops as soon as I turn the blue switch on. I've been trying to decipher the 24v electrical schematic but I am not very skilled on the electrical side so I'm not sure I can figure out where to start looking as this TGB has many relays. Should I start by replacing the turn signal switch? Many Thanks, Brandon

Hi Brandon,
first I would check the turnsignalswitch. Could be there is a loose connection. Second check the highbeamrelais. Its under the dashboard on the right side under the fusebox. Big silver box. Good luck Uli

I disassembled the turn signal switch and it came out in pieces so that's part of my issue for sure. I can now turn off the high beams but manually touching the contact with the switch in pieces. I ordered a replacement for the early 70's VW.
Now, how should my green (aut) switch be working? Should it not turn on my headlamps if the blue switch is off and the vehicle is running?
